Viking Tradition
Do you feel more at home raiding and pillaging the coast of far off nations than you do at a shopping mall? Do you conduct these raids with a wooden ship and forty to fifty of your mostly shirtless, screaming compatriots? Did you know how to swing an axe the day after you learned to walk without falling on your face? If so, itâs likely that you belong to an honorable and very old traditionâthat of the Vikings. Weâre not talking about the football team, but real Vikings, one that can actually count a few victories among their battles. Weâre talking about warriors that are more likely to leap screaming into the fray than to run and avoid any such conflict. If you belong to this unbroken line of soldiers and shield-maidens, then we have just the costume for you. Our Barbarian Viking Womenâs Costume is sure to strike fear into even the most hardened enemies.
FUN Details
This pull-on dress has a side zipper and attached trim and faux fur accents for a distinctly Norse look. The included belt is made of distressed faux leather and features a metal buckle and hook and loop back closure. The gauntlets are also made of distressed faux leather and include the same style of faux fur accent work. Finally, the boot cuffs are faux fur and theyâre guaranteed to keep your feet warm during those cold Scandinavian winters.
Praise Odin!
Of course, thereâs more than one thing about being a viking lady thatâ less than appealing. You likely know at least ten ways to preserve fishâfew of them tasty. Weâre sure youâve also spent your share of time scrubbing the decks of the ships (or building them), and tending to your wounds. While none of these tasks sound like a heap of fun, itâs all a part of the rugged lifestyle of a Viking barbarian, and as our uncle Sven used to say: âYou canât sail to Valhalla in a boat made of funâ. Whatever that means.
